Durham Region administers over 107,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Health Department and Lakeridge Health have reached a milestone in the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines with over 107,000 doses being administered to area residents. Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Health Department is continuing to focus COVID-19 vaccination efforts for residents who are 70 years and older, or who will be turning 70 in 2021. The Health Department continues to follow Ontario’s vaccination plan for Phase 1 and 2 to address the priority groups as outlined by the province. The ability to add new priority groups is dependent on vaccine supply which is received from the province.
