The Region of Durham is sending a message of inclusion to everyone who visits its corporate headquarters building in Whitby with the installation of a rainbow crosswalk.
We want everyone who enters our headquarters building to feel welcome when they cross the vibrant rainbow crosswalk. As part of Durham’s Vision Zero initiative to work towards preventing severe injuries and fatalities on our roadways, Regional Council has approved two new tools to improve traffic safety. Red-light cameras and automated speed enforcement will be coming to Durham Region in 2020.

Residents are encouraged to bring their household hazardous waste (HHW) to the new Household Special Waste Depot located at 1998 Bowmanville Avenue, free of charge!
