Region of Durham maintains strong credit ratings

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham has maintained its Triple “A” credit rating with stable outlook from two key rating agencies, and remains one of only seven Canadian municipalities to hold this distinction. Both Moody’s Investors Service, Inc. (Moody’s) and S&P Global Ratings (S&P) have confirmed the Region’s Triple “A” ratings; reflecting the Region’s very strong financial management, budgetary performance and manageable debt burden.

Regions proposing to increase waste processing limit by 20,000 tonnes at Durham York Energy Centre

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipalities of Durham and York have begun the Environmental Screening Process to increase the amount of waste processed each year at the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) by 20,000 tonnes.
