Durham Region partners host GTHA Community Safety and Well-Being Symposium

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham and Durham Regional Police Service recently partnered with York Region, Halton Region, Peel Region, the City of Hamilton and the City of Toronto to host a Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Symposium. The virtual event took place on June 10 and was attended by more than 250 representatives from across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Regional Council has made the decision to cancel the Mixed Waste Pre-sort and Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Facility procurement process. The project was approved and is a key component of the Region’s long-term waste management plan. Expanded eligibility for COVID-19 second booster doses available for individuals 18-plus

Whitby, Ontario, In line with the recent provincial announcement, Durham Region Health Department is now expanding availability for fourth dose (second booster dose) of COVID-19 vaccine to eligible residents 18 and older. Eligible residents can now book appointments at community immunization clinics for their second booster dose by visiting durham.ca/vaccineappointment. No walk-ins will be available for second booster doses. Vaccines provided will be Pfizer Comirnaty BioNTech and Moderna Spikevax.
