COVID-19 booster now available for children five to 11-years old

Whitby, Ontario - In line with the recent announcement from the province, Durham Region Health Department will be offering booster doses of COVID-19 vaccine to children five to 11-years old. Bookings will open on September 1 at 8:00 am. Individuals five to 11-years old will now be able to receive a booster dose 168 days (or six months) after they have finished their primary COVID-19 vaccine series. Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is now accepting applications from residents who would like to serve as a community member on the Durham Regional Police Services Board (DRPSB). The term of this appointment is four years and coincides with the term of Regional Council.

Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department has received notification of more adult mosquitoes that have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV), with positive mosquitoes now reported from three trap sites.
