Health Department providing immunization clinics for students who missed school-based vaccinations

Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department is announcing the start of catch-up immunization clinics for students in grades 7 to 12 who need immunizations that were put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Beginning April 4 and for a limited time, students can receive Hepatitis B, Meningitis, and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) immunizations at community immunization clinics. Clinics will be open at the Oshawa Centre, 419 King St. W. and Pickering SmartCentres, 1899 Brock Rd., Unit C3 locations....

Whitby, Ontario – For the second year in a row, Durham Region was presented with a Smart 50 Award for Mobility. This year, the Region, in partnership with technology provider Visual Defence, has won the award for using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize road maintenance.
