Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is seeking feedback from the public on the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan (CSWP). The CSWP is being developed in partnership with the Durham Regional Police Service and in collaboration with local area municipalities, community partners and the public. The CSWP will identify strategies and programs to address local priorities related to crime and complex social issues, on a sustainable basis.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham advises Oshawa and Whitby residents of changes to upcoming curbside blue box collection due to the Victoria Day long weekend.
When: May 24 to 29.
Where: The City of Oshawa and Town of Whitby residents will temporarily have their blue box collection moved to the following day.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming road closures on Townline Road North on the border of the City of Oshawa and the Municipality of Clarington’s community of Courtice.
When: May 25 to August 2021. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Waze technology allows residents to view line painting operations in real-time

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to advise residents that roadway line painting is now underway. Drivers are asked to exercise caution when approaching these vehicles. Before heading out on the road, residents can also follow line painting operations using Waze—a live traffic and navigation app.

Whitby, Ontario – Parents and caregivers in Durham Region are invited to attend the virtual Let's Talk - EarlyON Parent Town Hall. This virtual event will focus on the impact the COVID-19 pandemic may have on young children (six years of age or younger); featuring a panel of experts to help answer questions about children’s development and health.
