Regions studying processing increase at Durham York Energy Centre, open house to be held December 12 in Bowmanville

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is hosting a third public information centre to engage with residents about plans to increase the amount of waste processed each year at the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) by 20,000 tonnes.
When: Thursday, December 12, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Seasonal leaf and yard waste collection ending for the year

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department is reminding residents that seasonal leaf and yard waste collection is ending and will resume in the spring of 2020.
When: The last curbside collection will take place the week of December 9.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on Bayly Street, at the Begley Street intersection in Pickering.
When: November 27. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: One eastbound lane on Bayly Street will be closed at the Begley Street intersection in the City of Pickering.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on Bloor Street West (Regional Road 22) in Oshawa.
When: December 2 to 13.
Where: Eastbound and Westbound on Bloor Street West, from 75 metres west of Oxford Street to 50 metres east of Oxford Street, in the City of Oshawa.
