Canada Post labour disruption impact to services

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to notify residents that all incoming and outgoing mail may be affected by a potential labour disruption at Canada Post.

When: A 72-hour strike notice was issued on Tuesday, November 12, and would take effect on Friday, November 15 at 12:01 a.m. ET, should an agreement not be reached by then.

Road closure on Columbus Road East in Oshawa

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Columbus Road East (Regional Road 3) in the City of Oshawa.

When: November 13 to the first week of December 2024. The road reconstruction will continue after the winter shutdown period, resuming in May 2025. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
