Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of lane restrictions on Gorevale Crescent/Hillsdale Avenue in Oshawa.
When: Aug. 6 to Sept. 25. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Gorevale Crescent/Hillsdale Avenue in Oshawa.
Why: To safely replace an existing watermain.

Lane restrictions on Thickson Road in Brooklin

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of lane restrictions on Thickson Road (Regional Road 26), around the Winchester Road (Regional Road 3) intersection, in Brooklin.
When: Crews will begin work this week and continue until weather permits. Following a winter shut down, work on Winchester Road will take place in 2019.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department reminds residents of changes to scheduled curbside blue box collection due to the upcoming civic holiday.
When: Aug. 6 to 11
Where: Residents in the City of Oshawa and the Town of Whitby will temporarily have their blue box collection moved to the next day. Whitby, Ontario – The nomination period for the Office of the Regional Chair has closed.
When: The nomination period closed today, as of 2 p.m.
Why: Candidates for the Office of the Regional Chair had until today, at 2 p.m., to file their nomination papers with the Regional Clerk, as outlined in the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
Note: A list of Candidates for the Office of Regional Chair is available at durham.ca. The municipal election will be held on October 22.
