Lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road in the Township of Brock

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23), from north of Ravenshoe Road (York Regional Road 32) to south of Concession Road 10, in the Township of Brock.

When: May 9 to August 1. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is now accepting nominations for the position of Regional Chair.   

When: The Regional Clerk is receiving nominations for the Regional Chair position from now until August 19 at 2 p.m.

Upcoming road closures on Townline Road in Oshawa and Clarington

This Public Service Announcement has been updated to reflect the most current information regarding Stage 2 of the project.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Townline Road in the City of Oshawa and Municipality of Clarington.

Weight restriction season on regional roads ends April 30

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham’s 2022 weight restriction season will end as of April 30. This affects vehicles that are heavier than 5,000 kilograms or five tonnes per axle.

When: The final day of Durham Region’s seasonal weight restrictions is April 30.

Where: Signs will be removed from regional roads where these weight restrictions no longer apply, however please note that some roads may have year-round weight restrictions applied. Please refer to the complete map for more...

New pedestrian safety improvement at Brock Street and Toronto Street in Uxbridge

Whitby, Ontario – In support of Durham Vision Zero, a strategic road safety action plan, the Region of Durham will be implementing leading pedestrian intervals for the existing traffic lights at the intersection of Brock Street and Toronto Street (Highway 47) in the Township of Uxbridge.
