Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Health Department has received notification of more adult mosquitoes that have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV) with positive mosquitoes reported from three trap sites.

COVID-19 booster now available for children five to 11-years old

Whitby, Ontario - In line with the recent announcement from the province, Durham Region Health Department will be offering booster doses of COVID-19 vaccine to children five to 11-years old. Bookings will open on September 1 at 8:00 am. Individuals five to 11-years old will now be able to receive a booster dose 168 days (or six months) after they have finished their primary COVID-19 vaccine series.
