Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Newtonville Road (Regional Road 18) in the Municipality of Clarington.
When: May 17 to September 3. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Newtonville Road (Regional Road 18), from north of Highway 401 to south of Concession Road 5, in Clarington.
Why: Lane restrictions will be in place to safely complete road rehabilitation.

Whitby, Ontario – As part of our commitment to Durham Vision Zero, The Regional Municipality of Durham, in partnership with the City of Oshawa and other local area municipalities, continues to make it safer for pedestrians and cyclists to cross busy Regional roads. Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding drivers to slow down and proceed with caution through construction zones or areas where workers are present.
Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews. Pay attention to signage, reduce your speed, increase your following distance, and never make a U-turn to avoid construction.
