Ontario moves Durham Region back into Red-Control Category

Whitby, Ontario – The Province of Ontario has moved Durham Region back into the Red-Control Category of the COVID-19 Response Framework.
When: Red-Control restrictions go into effect on Tuesday, February 16, at 12:01 a.m. and will be in effect for at least two weeks before re-evaluation. The stay-at-home order will end when this comes into effect.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department, would like to remind Oshawa and Whitby residents of changes to the scheduled Blue Box collection due to the Family Day holiday.
When: February 15 to 19, 2021.
Where: Residents of the City of Oshawa and the Town of Whitby only, will temporarily have their blue box collection moved to the next day.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Regional Road 57 in Caesarea.
When: From February 2 to February 12, 2021. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Regional Road 57, from 150 metres east of Park Street to 175 metres east of Park Street, in Caesarea.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind residents to help reduce litter in the community and blockages in our sanitary sewer system. Items such as face masks, plastic gloves and sanitizing wipes should be disposed of in the garbage not on the ground or in the toilet. They are not recyclable.

Whitby, Ontario – As part of our commitment to Durham Vision Zero, The Regional Municipality of Durham is making it safer and easier for pedestrians to cross the street with pedestrian crossovers.
