Durham Region to host 2025 Budget Town Hall

Whitby, Ontario – Residents are invited to join Durham Region’s Chief Administrative Officer, Commissioner of Finance and Treasurer and other members of the Region’s senior leadership team, at the 2025 Budget Town Hall.
When: Thursday, October 10, at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Residents can join the event either online or by phone. Residents who would like to listen to the live event or ask questions via phone can email budgets@durham.ca with their name and phone number, or visit yourvoice.durham.ca/DurhamBudget

Lane restrictions on Jane Street and Ida Street in Sunderland

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Jane Street and Ida Street in the Township of Brock’s community of Sunderland.
When: Week of September 30 to mid-December 2024. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
Where: Jane Street, from Ida Street to approximately 230 metres north of Ida Street, and Ida Street between Albert Street and Jane Street, in Sunderland.

Whitby, Ontario – In support of Durham Vision Zero and in collaboration with the City of Oshawa, The Regional Municipality of Durham is adding a new all-way stop at the intersection of Simcoe Street South (Regional Road 2) and Harbour Road.
Where: At the intersection of Simcoe Street South (Regional Road 2) and Harbour Road in Oshawa.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) in the City of Pickering.
When: Ongoing until October 28. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
Where: Taunton Road from east of York Road 30 (Markham Pickering Townline Road) to west of Sideline 26 (Whites Road) in Pickering.
