Drop off electronic waste, household hazardous waste and reusable items in Oshawa on September 28

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region’s Works Department, in partnership with the City of Oshawa, is hosting a Diversion Day on September 28. At the event, you can drop off electronic waste, household hazardous waste and reusable items, free of charge.

When: Saturday, September 28, from 8 a.m. to noon (rain or shine).

Where: Lakeview Park (parking lot), Kluane Avenue, Oshawa.

Lane restrictions and night work on Brock Road and Concession Road 3 in Pickering

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of night work and intermittent lane restrictions on Brock Road (Regional Road 1) and Concession Road 3 in the City of Pickering.

When: September 23 to 28. Night work is expected to be from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. to ensure safety and minimize impacts on traffic. Intermittent lane restrictions will also be required for the duration of the project. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
