Durham Region to host 2023 Budget Town Hall

Whitby, Ontario – Residents are invited to join Durham Region’s Chief Administrative Officer, Commissioner of Finance and Treasurer and other members of our senior leadership team, at our Budget Town Hall session on November 24.
When: Thursday, November 24 at 6:30 p.m.

Appointments being scheduled to replace outdated residential water meters

Whitby, Ontario – On behalf of The Regional Municipality of Durham, Neptune Technology Group will be scheduling appointments with property owners whose water meters are due for replacement.
When: Residents may receive notices from now until March 2023.
Why: To upgrade existing water meters and update user accounts to allow the Region of Durham to conduct remote readings.
Note: Neptune will attempt to contact the property owner via letter and by phone regarding planned water meter replacement.

Region of Durham to test nuclear public alerting system on November 7 and 8

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham will conduct its fall test of the nuclear public alerting system on November 7 and 8. The system warns people in the unlikely event of an emergency at the nuclear generating stations in Clarington or Pickering.
