Lane restrictions on Taunton Road West in the Town of Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Taunton Road West (Regional Road 4) in the Town of Whitby.
When: August 22 to September 2. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Taunton Road West (Regional Road 4), from Coronation Road to 250 metres east of Coronation Road, in the Town of Whitby.
Why: Lane restrictions will be in place to allow for storm sewer work to support new development.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in co-operation with the City of Pickering, Town of Whitby, and townships of Scugog and Uxbridge, is rehabilitating Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23). Residents should expect minor traffic delays.

The Regional Municipality of Durham, in partnership with the Town of Whitby, is advising residents of a road closure on Rossland Road in Whitby.
When: August 22 to 24. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Rossland Road at Brock Street North in the Town of Whitby.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to assure residents that our water continues to be safe to drink despite possible earthy or musty odours detected recently. Taste and odour episodes are caused by seasonal biological changes in Lake Ontario and typically occur in the late summer or early fall.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding residents that nominations for the position of Regional Chair will be accepted until Friday, August 19, 2022, at 2 p.m. (also known as nomination day).
When: The Regional Clerk is now receiving nominations for the Regional Chair position. Nomination papers may be obtained and filed in the Office of the Regional Clerk until August 18, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., by appointment, and on August 19 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
