Whitby, Ontario – In April 2022, the Region of Durham announced that it was selected host the 2023 Ontario Parasport Games (the Games), set to take place February 3 to 5, 2023. Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region has implemented Phase 2 in bringing Regional services to smart home devices—thanks to the myDurham 311 Smart Home Device Voice Service. The latest phase is designed to help customers access information and frequently asked questions about the 2022 municipal elections through smart home devices.
When: Launches October 12, 2022.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in partnership with the area municipalities, is inviting residents to attend one of the upcoming Environment Days to donate items for reuse, recycling and safe disposal.
The two events run from 8 a.m. until noon (rain or shine):

Changes in blue box collection in Oshawa and Whitby due to Thanksgiving Day holiday

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is informing City of Oshawa and Town of Whitby residents of changes to scheduled curbside blue box collection, in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday.
When: October 10 to 15.
Residents with collection scheduled for Monday, October 10, will temporarily have their collection moved to Tuesday, October 11. This shift will continue throughout the week, ending with Friday, October 14 collection being moved to Saturday, October 15.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of ongoing lane restrictions on Taunton Road East (Regional Road 4), in the City of Oshawa.
When: Ongoing to December 16. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Taunton Road East, from 110 metres east of Wilson Road North (Regional Road 35) to 400 metres east of Wilson Road North, in the City of Oshawa.
