Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham advises residents of lane restrictions on Regional Highway 2, in Courtice in the Municipality of Clarington.
When: September 27 to November 12. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Regional Highway 2, from Trulls Road to 150 metres east of Trulls Road, in Courtice in the Municipality of Clarington
Why: To safely construct an entrance and concrete median to support new development.

Get movin’ and groovin’ with a series of virtual dance fitness classes

Whitby, Ontario – Are you an older adult in Durham Region looking for fun new ways to get active or stay fit?
On September 21, a certified fitness instructor and Rogers TV host will host the first of a free, four-part virtual “Movin’ and Groovin’” dance class series, tailored to older residents looking to get active and fit—because it’s never too late to prioritize your health and have fun while doing it.
When: Classes are live from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., on September 21 and 28, and October 5 and 12.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is requesting input into the creation of the 2022-2025 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan. The plan will outline how the Region of Durham will prevent and remove barriers that people with disabilities may face in our programs, services and facilities.
When: The survey will be open from Monday, September 13 to Sunday, October 3.

Virtual farm tour highlights Durham Region’s agricultural industry

Whitby, Ontario – The Durham Agricultural Advisory Committee (DAAC) will be hosting a virtual farm tour to provide a unique insight into the full growing season of a local potato farm. From planting to growing the crop, harvesting, storing and distributing the potatoes, this year’s tour will showcase the full range of activities that take place at Smalley Produce—a family run farm and business since 1946.
