Durham Region is submitting a Water Financial Plan to the Province to renew its municipal drinking water licence as part of the Municipal Drinking Water Licence Program, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 453/07.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Ninth Concession Road/Myrtle Road (Regional Road 5) in the City of Pickering and Town of Whitby.
When: April 30 to May 24. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
Where: Lane restrictions will be in place daily on Ninth Concession Road/Myrtle Road, from 740 metres west of Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) to 465 metres east of Lake Ridge Road, in Pickering and Whitby.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a complete road closure on Simcoe Street in the Township of Brock.
When: April 29 to May 17. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
Where: Simcoe Street, from Madill Street to west of the driveway of the Holy Family Catholic School, in the Township of Brock.

Come to our free Compost Giveaway events from April 27 to June 8

The Region of Durham has teamed up with the area municipalities to offer free compost to residents at special events taking place across the region from April 27 to June 8.
These are self-serve events. Residents must bring a shovel and containers to carry their compost. Quantities are first-come, first-served and limited to four blue boxes of compost per vehicle.
Green bins, blue boxes and backyard composters will also be available for purchase and broken bins can be exchanged for free. No cash....
