The Transit Department at Durham Region would like to develop a mobile app to be used by contractors and internal staff for tracking and documenting bus stop maintenance activities. This will help to improve the quality of the data collected and allow DRT to automate various data processing and analysis tasks. The current bus stop maintenance process is very manual and time consuming and a mobile app for tracking these activities collecting data in a digital format will bring efficiency to the process and free up staff's valuable time for other priorities.
