Celebrate Fireside at Banjo Cider
Don’t miss the last opportunity of the year to enjoy a delicious flight of local cider by the fireside at Banjo Cider. Gather around the firepit with friends, family, kids, dates, dogs, food, and—of course—blankets and long johns! We recommend trying the hot mulled cider, sampler flights, s'mores plate, or cheese plate pairings—all extra enjoyable in the great outdoors! Alcoholic and non-alcoholic hot and cold options are available. The cidery will be open during the day on New Year’s Eve, so you can hang out with friends and family around the warm fire before ringing in the new year. Outdoor firepit reservations are required in advance. If fully booked, indoor seating is available as well.
Dinner & Countdown in Downtown Whitby
Start your New Year’s Eve with a delicious four-course meal at 12welve Bistro & Tapworks in Whitby! Kick off the celebrations with an elegant dinner and indulge in menu selections like rack of lamb, steak and lobster, seafood pasta, and stuffed chicken. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available. Reservations are $95 per guest; dinner served from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Begin your evening with a delicious four-course meal before heading to the countdown celebration at Tap & Tankard. Entry is $30 per person and the doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets to the Tap’s NYE Party include entry for live entertainment, coat check, party favours and a bubbly toast to ring in the new year at midnight!
Dining Domes at Deer Creek
Ever dined in a dome? Enjoy an unforgettable winter experience in the heated Dining Domes at Deer Creek in Ajax—located on the restaurant patio and surrounded by beautiful twinkling lights. Each of the six domes accommodates up to six guests, and there are even dog-friendly domes! Enjoy the special Experience Menu to build your own margarita and indulge in delicious dishes like dim sum, steak frites or butternut squash ravioli—unique to the domes. The experience is $50 per person, and includes one cocktail, mocktail or flight, one specialty menu item and an unforgettably cozy experience. If you’ve got room for dessert, the sticky toffee pudding is not to be slept on.
Outdoor dining domes are limited. If December 31 reservations are full by the time you're reading this, don't worry! You can enjoy this unique outdoor dining experience until mid-March. Kids eat free with a paying adult.

Celebrate the start of the new year with the Crown Lands at BOND|ST Event Centre in Oshawa! This JUNO award-winning Canadian rock music duo are celebrating the new year with special guests BRKN LOVE and Excuses Excuses. Performing live on the main stage, this event featuring these hometown heroes is bound to be one for the books! Must be 19+ to attend.
Old Hollywood NYE at Ajax Convention Centre
Party the night away—old Hollywood style—at the Ajax Convention Centre’s New Years Eve Celebration from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Enjoy a full night of live entertainment, a gourmet four-course dinner with wine, and a deluxe bar. On December 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Delpark Homes Centre, there will be free swimming and skating, live entertainment, jumping castles, children’s crafts and more! The family-friendly countdown begins on stage at 8:45 p.m. and finishes at 9 p.m.
Join Pickering’s New Year's Eve Family Countdown at Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex on December 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy free swim and skate for all ages, along with family-friendly activities in the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex lobby. Enjoy a memorable mid-evening countdown, marking the beginning of the new year with a balloon drop at 8:30 p.m.
Celebrate the start of the new year at Ajax’s Family New Year's Eve Party from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ajax Community Centre—with children’s activities, games, live entertainment, interactive experiences, air brushing, ice skating, and a DJ. Party favours are included as participants gather on the ice rink for the special countdown and balloon drop at 9 p.m. It’s a great way to ring in the new year with family and friends! Admission is on a first come, first served basis. Entrance is through Pad 4 and there is no re-admission once you leave.
