Christmas Tree Farms To Visit Near Toronto This Holiday Season

Channel your inner lumberjack (or lumberjill ), snap some insta-worthy pics, and get into the holiday spirit when you visit one of Durham Region’s tree farms! Choose from pre-cut trees, and decorative greenery, and cut-your-own—including White and Blue Spruce, Balsam, Douglas and Fraser Firs, and White and Scotch Pines.
Some farms even offer refreshments and family-friendly winter activities, including wagon rides, bonfires, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, snacks, visits with Santa, beautiful holiday décor and more!
Cormack’s Tree Farm

Cormack’s Tree Farm is a third-generation farm and one of the oldest cut-your-own tree farms in Ontario—dating back to the 1950’s! Located just a 45-minute drive north of Toronto, Cormack’s is the perfect destination for a day of outdoor winter adventures. Cut-your-own and pre-cut trees are available, including organic Spruce, Fir, and Pine up to 13 feet.
Trek through 10 fields of trees with your family, friends, or even your pup, to find the perfect Christmas tree! With 50 acres of picturesque rolling hills, you’ll want to bundle up and head to the hills with your toboggan (weather permitting) or bring a sled to ease the effort of dragging your tree back.
Open two weekends only, from November 30 to December 8.
Hope’s Christmas Tree Farm

Nestled on the Oak Ridges Moraine, in the heart of Enniskillen, Hope’s Christmas Tree Farm is a scenic escape to the countryside! Embrace the spirit of the season at this family-owned and operated Christmas tree farm with fresh cut-your-own trees, a selection of pre-cut trees, and a variety of greenery to decorate your home for the holidays.
This charming farm offers a little bit of everything so you can enjoy some quality time with your loved ones on the days leading up to Christmas. Explore more than 50 local artisans and enjoy hot drinks, farm animals, Santa visits and more! The farm also hosts festive events, so be sure to keep an eye on their event calendar this season. Shop local, get cozy and enjoy the backdrop of rustic elegance and natural beauty at this stunning 18th century barn. There's truly something for everyone!

Powell’s Trees

Established in 1980, Powell's Trees offers both cut-your-own and pre-cut trees, including Scots and White Pine, Spruce, Balsam and Fraser Fir. The farm prides itself on its very full and deep green trees that are carefully sheared each year. If you do choose to cut-your-own, we recommend bringing your own hand saw (non-motorized only)—and don’t worry, you won’t have to trek far as the parking area is just a hop and a skip away.
Explore 25 acres of rolling hills and landscape, great for sledding and walking, and don’t miss the Christmas crafts, honey, and bees wax candles for sale before you go!
Open seven days a week, starting in November to December 24.
Prestonvale Tree Farms

Prestonvale Tree Farm offers a large selection of harvest-your-own Christmas trees, pre-harvested Christmas trees, evergreen landscape trees, and even retail and wholesale trees at their farm in Courtice.
Explore a large selection of quality Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Spruce and Pine trees ready to be cut on more than 60 acres. Free shaking and baling are available, and saws are provided. If snapping a few cute pics at the farm is more your vibe, there is also a selection of pre-harvested trees to take home. Plus, leashed dogs are welcome to join you on your visit and join in all the cute festive photos.

Spademan Tree Farm

Don't miss all the festive fun at Spademan Christmas Tree Farm! Enjoy searching for your perfect tree in fields of organic White and Blue Spruce, White Pine and Balsam and Fraser Fir. You can cut-your-own tree or choose from the beautiful pre-cuts available. This charming farm is the perfect destination to create memories and traditions with your loved ones (and dogs!). We guarantee it will be an outdoor experience you remember!
Besides the enjoyment of harvesting your own tree, you can keep warm by the outdoor fire pit, enjoy the holiday atmosphere while listening to carols, and take unforgettable photos of your experience in their field of Christmas trees. Before you go, don’t forget to stop by the Spademan Christmas Shoppe—located in a beautiful log cabin—for handmade artisan goods, local maple syrup, honey and jams.
Open Wednesdays to Sundays, starting November 23.
