Egg-citing Things To Do On Easter Weekend In Durham Region

The Easter Bunny is hopping on down to Durham Region, and to celebrate, we've put together a list of egg-citing events to enjoy with family and friends. Experience the most sp-egg-tacular weekend of festivities with delicious treats, egg hunts, wagon rides, farm animals, and more fun! Brooks Farms Easter Fest
Dates: April 12 to 13 and 18 to 21 | 122 Ashworth Road, Mount Albert (Uxbridge)
Bring the whole family to Brooks Farms and celebrate all things Easter at the farm! Embark on an egg-stra special farm adventure throughout the playland, which includes a zip line, pirate ship, fire truck, slides, singing chicken show, sandbox and more. Bring your own basket to collect all your Easter treats, enjoy a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny and friends, visit the farm animals and baby chicks, embark on an Easter story wagon ride around the farm, and enjoy live entertainment. Tickets range from $19.99 to $24.99 + HST. Children 23 months and under are free.
Easter at Pingle's Farm
Dates: April 12 to 13 and 18 to 20 | 1805 Taunton Road, Hampton
Celebrate all things Spring at Pingle’s Farm this Easter with a fun-filled day for the whole family! Snap a photo with the Easter Bunny, enjoy live music from Socks & Sandals, hop along on a festive wagon ride, treat yourself to their sweet Easter menu, and take part in helping the Easter bunny find all the eggs in the Sp-egg-tacular Easter Egg Hunt at Pingle’s Playland. Tickets are $16 + HST per person. Children 23 months and under are free.
New this year: Visit some of Pingle's farm-ily members (like goats, chickens, sheep, donkeys and llamas) in the brand new animal barn!
Willowtree Farm Easter Eggstravaganza
Dates: April 18 to 20 | 975 Durham Regional Road 21, Port Perry
Join the Easter Bunny and his pals on an egg-venture through our enchanted Spring Forest Trail! Our Easter pals will show you a good time hopping through the forest with a story stroll and a scavenger hunt , collecting eggs in the Easter egg hunt and finishing it off with craft stations in the magical, hoppy Greenhouse. Your ticket includes an egg-venture with Easter Bunny’s pals through a scavenger hunt, egg hunt, and craft stations in the greenhouse, an Easter decorated photo-op area in the greenhouse, a special visit with the Easter Bunny, and of course—a little Easter treat. Tickets are $15 + HST per person. Children 23 months and under are free.
Vandermeer Nursery Easter Egg Hunt
Dates: April 18 to 20 | 588 Lake Ridge Road South, Ajax
Enjoy an Easter egg hunt and create your own Bunny Breakfast Bowl at the Vandermeer Nursery Easter celebration! The event begins with an egg hunt. Find hidden treasures throughout the nursery yard and trade in your eggs for a special prize. Next create your Bunny Breakfast Bowl and plant all the Easter Bunny's favourite snacks—including carrots, lettuce, and pansy flowers—just in time for the big visit! Don't forget to get a photo with the Vandermeer Bunnies before you leave. Tickets are $13.50 + HST per person.
Pickering Easter Parade
Date: April 19 | Liverpool Road to Sandy Beach Road, Pickering
Join the City of Pickering and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 606 to celebrate the annual Easter Parade in Bay Ridges! This year’s parade will begin at 10 a.m. Bring your Easter baskets and bonnets down to the parade route to partake in a spectacular welcome to spring. In lieu of a parade theme, participants are encouraged to incorporate silver into their float, costumes, and/or bonnet design in recognition of Pickering’s 25th year as a City.
Following the parade, be sure to visit the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 606 (Rear Parking Lot, 1555 Bayly Street, Pickering) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for their annual BBQ. Enjoy a complimentary burger or hot dog, games, live entertainment, and enter your bonnets, bikes and wagons into the Legion’s “Bonnet Contest” for a chance to win some exciting prizes.
Uxbridge BIA Easter Eggstravaganza
Date: April 19 | Toronto Street and Brock Street, Uxbridge
Enjoy fun free events and activities for the whole family at the Uxbridge BIA Easter Eggstravaganza! Kids 12 and under, accompanied by a parent or guardian, are welcome to participate in the Easter egg hunt at all participating businesses throughout downtown Uxbridge. And the best part, parents can enjoy some local shopping while the kiddos play! The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to attend.
Cannington Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt
Date: April 19 | Macleod Park (72 Peace Street, Cannington)
Each year, the Cannington Lions Club hosts a fun Easter egg hunt activity for kids! Start your day off with a pancake breakfast at the Cannington Legion BR186 between 8 to 11 a.m., then head to Macleod Park for the big egg hunt. The event includes egg hunts for age groups of infant to four, five to nine, and 10 to 12. Bring your own basket and join the fun for your chance to win prizes, indulge in sweet Easter treats, and enjoy a visit from the Easter Bunny! Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the egg hunts starts at 10:30 a.m. This event is rain or shine and free to attend, donations are welcomed.
Port Perry Easter Egg Hunt & Bonnet Contest
Date: April 20 | Queen Street (Perry Street to Water Street), Port Perry
Celebrate Easter at the 36th annual Port Perry Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Contest + Parade! Hop on over to Downtown Port Perry for an afternoon of Easter fun with a bonnet contest and parade for all ages (and even pets)! Judges will be picking winners in multiple categories, so get creative and arrive early at 11:30 a.m. to register your bonnet for the contest and parade at noon. Following the parade at 1 p.m., kids ages three to seven can enjoy an Easter egg hunt. All participants will receive a sweet treat from The Nutty Chocolatier, and some lucky hunters will find extra-special prizes! This event is free to attend, donations are welcome.
