On any given day across Durham Region, more people are cycling, e-biking and using e‑scooters to get around. It’s a great shift. But it also comes with an important reminder. Wearing a helmet is one of the easiest ways to prevent a serious injury.

Celebrating the people who drive Durham
March 18 is Transit Worker Appreciation Day. It’s a chance to recognize the dedication, professionalism and heart behind the service so many residents and the Region of Durham rely on. We’re honoured to highlight just a few of the incredible individuals who make up our transit team.

Celebrating women in water in honour of World Water Day
Every year on March 22, the United Nations marks World Water Day to celebrate water and raise awareness of the two billion people currently living without access to safe water. In honour of this year’s theme, Water and Gender, we spoke with two of our water champions in Environmental Services.
