Health Department service disruptions/closures on Dec. 15 due to inclement weather

Due to today’s inclement weather, Health Department services, including Dental/Oral Health clinics, will be closed for the rest of the day.
The Health Department's Sexual Health Clinics, and Community Immunization Clinics in Oshawa, 419 King St. W. – formerly Sears, lower level and Clarington, Garnet B Rickard Recreation Complex, are also now closed. As a result of this closure, individuals who have appointments booked at these clinics will be contacted to reschedule.
Waste Management Facilities days of operation during the holiday season

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that the Regional Waste Management Facilities (WMF) in Brock, Scugog and Oshawa and the Household Special Waste Depot in Clarington will have revised days of operation during the holiday season.

- December 24 – Closed
- December 25 – Closed (Closed on Sundays)
- December 26 – Closed (Closed on Mondays)
- December 27 – Closed
- December 28 – Closed
- January 1 – Closed (Closed on Sundays)
- January 2 – Closed (Closed on Mondays)

Durham adds more incentives to home energy retrofit program

Whitby, Ontario – The Durham Greener Homes Program continues to grow, making it easier and more affordable for Durham residents to retrofit their homes.
The Region of Durham recently introduced the Deep Retrofit Rebate, which provides participating residents with up to $10,000 in incentives for reducing their home’s greenhouse gas emissions.
