Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Thickson Road (Regional Road 26) in the Town of Whitby.
When: September 6 to October 21. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Thickson Road, from 250 metres south of Glengowan Street to 325 metres north of Glengowan Street, in the Town of Whitby.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Health Department has received notification of more adult mosquitoes that have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV) with positive mosquitoes reported from three trap sites.

Whitby, Ontario - The following represents beach-posting information for Durham Region beaches. Test results for the week of Aug. 29 indicate that three beaches have been posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water. This is the final report for the 2022 season.
