Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Manning Road (Regional Road 58), in the Town of Whitby.
When: September 23 to September 27. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
Where: Manning Road from Garden Street to Bassett Boulevard, in Whitby.
Why: Lane restrictions in place to safely construct an entrance on Manning Road and to place a storm sewer service.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Health Department is encouraging all residents living within 10 kilometres of the Pickering or Darlington nuclear generating stations to have a supply of potassium iodide (KI) tablets in their households. This recommendation is also aimed at pregnant and breastfeeding persons, and parents of infants, children and adolescents as KI is both safe and most effective for these individuals.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a road closure at the intersection of Thickson Road South (Regional Road 26) and Tricont Avenue in the Town of Whitby.
When: Saturday, September 14. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
Where: Thickson Road South will be closed at Tricont Avenue in Whitby, restricting access to Tricont Avenue. The southbound lane on Thickson Road South will remain open between Victoria Street and Wentworth Street.

Area wide speed limit reduction in Cannington

Whitby, Ontario – In support of Durham Vision Zero, The Regional Municipality of Durham and the Township of Brock will be installing an area wide 40 kilometre per hour (km/h) posted speed limit in Cannington.
Where: Cameron Street (Regional Road 12) from 260 metres west of Albert Street to 300 metres east of McRae Street in Cannington. The Township of Brock's local roads within the community will also be changed to 40 km/h.
