Whitby, Ontario – Durham Tourism, and the Durham Region Joint Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade, have launched the new #ShopInDurham campaign with a special request for residents this holiday season: shop local.
The goal of the campaign is to spread the message that buying local will have a big impact for small businesses, while encouraging residents to shop local for their holiday gift-giving.

Nonquon River Bridge in Scugog will be closed for repairs

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that the Nonquon River Bridge in the Township of Scugog will be temporarily closed to traffic for repairs.
When: November 16 for approximately four weeks. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: The Nonquon River Bridge, which connects Reach Street (Regional Road 8) over the Nonquon River just west of Highway 12, in Scugog.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is holding a Virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) for input into a study to evaluate transit priority pilot options on Simcoe Street in the City of Oshawa.
