Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Shirley Road (Regional Road 19) in the Township of Scugog.

When: October 1 to November 1. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Shirley Road, from Simcoe Street to 0.5 kilometres east of Graham Road, in Scugog.

Why: For road resurfacing.

Durham Region to host 2025 Budget Town Hall

Whitby, Ontario – Residents are invited to join Durham Region’s Chief Administrative Officer, Commissioner of Finance and Treasurer and other members of the Region’s senior leadership team, at the 2025 Budget Town Hall.

Whitby, Ontario – Yesterday, the Durham Agricultural Advisory Committee (DAAC) successfully hosted its 22nd annual farm tour at Scugog Community Recreation Centre in Port Perry. The theme was “Forward Thinking Agriculture in Durham Region” and covered a variety of topics, including experimental farming, modern challenges in agriculture, opportunities and challenges of on-farm diversified uses, family farms and diversifying farm operations.
