Whitby, Ontario – The following statement is being issued on behalf of John Henry, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer for The Regional Municipality of Durham:

Ministry of Transportation: Wilson Rd. S. closure for Highway 401/Wilson Rd. overpass replacement

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is undergoing work to replace the Wilson Road South overpass structure along Highway 401 in Oshawa. As part of the construction operations, MTO will be implementing a long-term full closure of Wilson Road South from Dieppe Avenue to Bloor Street East.
When: March 24, 2025 to late 2026.

Whitby, Ontario – A simple pause can save a life. Durham Region urges drivers to come to a complete stop at stop signs and check both directions before moving forward.
