Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region’s Works Department advises residents that the Waste Management Call Centre has a new phone number: 905-697-5300.
When: September 30, 2019.
Note: The toll-free number will remain the same (1-800-667-5671). The call centre hours of operation will also remain the same (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that the frequency of leaf and yard waste collection will change to weekly service as of October 1, for the fall season in the townships of Brock, Scugog and Uxbridge, the City of Pickering, the Town of Ajax and the Municipality of Clarington.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Social Services Department today celebrated the official opening of the Edna Thomson Early Learning and Child Care Centre in its new location. The new site, located in the Knox Christian School building, has more than 30 additional spaces for preschool and toddler-aged children in the Bowmanville area. Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region’s Works Department, in partnership with the City of Oshawa, is hosting a Diversion Day on September 28. At the event, you can drop off electronic waste, household hazardous waste and reusable items, free of charge.
When: Saturday, September 28, from 8 a.m. to noon (rain or shine).
Where: Lakeview Park (parking lot), Kluane Avenue, Oshawa.
