Whitby, Ontario – With the upcoming spring time change and local fire departments’ promotion of changing batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, the Region of Durham is reminding residents to save their used or unwanted batteries for recycling during the next curbside battery collection.

Weight restriction season on Regional roads begins March 1

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that the Region restricts the operation of motor vehicles on designated roads during the spring weight restriction season, as per the Highway Traffic Act. Durham Region Roundtable on Climate Change is seeking expressions of interest for citizen members

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is now accepting expressions of interest from individuals who wish to be considered for volunteer membership on the Durham Region Roundtable on Climate Change (DRRCC).
