Durham Region has moved from the customer self-assessment (TeleRead) water meter card program to full water meter readings by Meter Readers. This eliminates the need for customers to provide readings and reduced the number of estimated bills. Weight restriction season on Regional roads ends April 2

Whitby, Ontario –The Regional Municipality of Durham and local area municipalities restrict the operation of motor vehicles on designated roads during the spring weight restriction season, as per the Highway Traffic Act and Regional By-law 26-2018. This affects vehicles that are heavier than 5,000 kilograms or five tonnes per axle. The final day of the Regional Municipality of Durham 2024 Weight Restriction season will be April 1.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Thornton Road North (RR 52), in the City of Oshawa.
When: April 8 to 19. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
