Lane restrictions on Salem Road in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Salem Road (Regional Road 41) in the Town of Ajax.
When: October 24 to December 24. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Salem Road at the 401 interchange, from Mandrake Street to Achilles Road, in the Town of Ajax.
Why: Lane restrictions will be in place to allow for the construction of new electrical and telecommunications infrastructure.

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is seeking community members who are passionate about creating an inclusive, racism-free region to apply to be a member of the Durham Region Anti-Racism Taskforce (DRART).
The mandate of DRART is to act in an advisory role to Regional Council through the Finance & Administration Committee on issues related to racism. The work of DRART will be guided by Council approved Terms of Reference.

Whitby, Ontario – On October 24, the Regional Chair/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be elected by eligible voters in the Regional Municipality of Durham. Residents are advised that the Regional Municipality of Durham Headquarters will be open on election night to view the unofficial results related to the Office of the Regional Chair/CEO. Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding residents to place their used or unwanted household batteries out for recycling on their collection day, during the week of November 7.
When: Fall battery collection occurs the week of November 7 on blue box collection days.
Where: Households across Durham Region who currently receive curbside collection services.
