Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is holding a Virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) for input into a study to evaluate transit priority pilot options on Simcoe Street in the City of Oshawa.

Beaver River Bridge in Beaverton closed for repairs

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that the Beaver River Bridge in Beaverton will be temporarily closed to traffic for repairs.
When: Starting November 9 for approximately two to three months. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Durham Environmental Advisory Committee seeking high school and post-secondary student members

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is seeking two high school students and one post-secondary student, residing in Durham Region, to serve as members of the Durham Environmental Advisory Committee (DEAC).
When: Interested students are asked to submit a letter of interest, outlining their knowledge of environmental issues and how they feel they can contribute to the committee by Monday, November 30, 2020.

Regional system maintenance scheduled for October 25

Whitby, Ontario – On Sunday, October 25, the telephone, voicemail and call centre systems at Regional Headquarters (605 Rossland Road East, Whitby) will undergo software upgrades as scheduled maintenance is performed. As a result of this work, the telephone system will be affected.
When: The telephone, voicemail and call centre systems will not be operational on Sunday, October 25 from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m.
