Lane Restrictions on Brock Street North and Rossland Road in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of construction and lane restrictions on Brock Street North and Rossland Road in the Town of Whitby.
When: Ongoing until December 2022. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Brock Street North, south of Manning Road (Regional Road 58) to north of Rossland Road (Regional Road 28), and Rossland Road from Cochrane Street (Regional Road 43) to east of Brock Street North in the Town of Whitby.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding residents to place their used or unwanted household batteries out for recycling on their collection day during the week of April 18.
When: Spring battery collection occurs the week of April 18 on blue box collection days. Please note the change to Oshawa and Whitby residents’ scheduled blue box collection this week due to the statutory holiday. Collection will occur April 19 to 23 in these municipalities.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of changes to the scheduled curbside waste collection due to the upcoming statutory holidays.
When and where: Residents of Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Pickering, Scugog and Uxbridge who have curbside collection scheduled for Friday, April 15, will have their waste collected the following day on Saturday, April 16.

This year, the Region, in partnership with technology provider Visual Defence, has won a Smart 50 Award for using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize road maintenance.
