Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Taunton Road East (Regional Road 4) in the Town of Whitby.
When: January 11 to January 21. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Taunton Road East from Brock Street North to McKinney Drive in the Town of Whitby.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of updated traffic signal timing at two intersections on Stevenson Road (Regional Road 53) in the City of Oshawa.
When: As of January 12, the new signal timing will be implemented. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

DYEC receives temporary emergency amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval

Whitby, Ontario – In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Regional Municipalities of Durham and York (the Regions) have received a temporary emergency amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) at the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) to process an additional 2,000 tonnes of garbage, for an annual total of 142,000 tonnes of garbage until December 31, 2021.
