The closure will provide enough preparation time to re-open the child care programs safely, ensuring learning environments support healthy development during COVID-19.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham advises residents of lane restrictions on Harwood Avenue North in the Town of Ajax.
When: Ongoing until November 2020. Unfavourable weather may influence the work schedule.
Where: Southbound lanes of Harwood Avenue North, from Kerrison Drive West to Rossland Road West in Ajax will be closed with all traffic shifted east of the centre median. Two-way traffic will be maintained in the northbound lanes for the duration of construction.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is hosting a virtual Prompt Access to Single Session (PASS) Case Management event where adults (18 years of age or older) with a developmental disability and/or their caregivers can speak directly with an experienced and knowledgeable case manager. The Region of Durham is planning a Mixed Waste Pre-Sort and Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Facility to convert organic waste like food scraps into a renewable natural gas that will be used to heat homes and power natural gas barbeques and vehicles.
