Public Information Centre on the Port Perry Water Supply Class EA Study

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department will be holding a Public Information Centre (PIC) on the Port Perry Water Supply Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study in the Township of Scugog.
When: Wednesday, June 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

Flooding closes Brock Street South/Water Street in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department is advising residents of localized flooding conditions on some Regional roads due to recent heavy rains. As a precautionary measure, Brock Street South/Water Street in Whitby has been closed.
When: Brock Street South/Water Street will remain closed until further notice.

Whitby, Ontario – In appreciation of a continued community-wide commitment to the Regional organics collection programs, residents are invited to pick up compost, free of charge, at an upcoming giveaway event in Uxbridge.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham will be participating alongside Ontario’s farm and food communities for the province’s fourth annual Local Food Week, taking place June 4 to 10. In celebration of Local Food Week, a Regional Farmers’ Market will be held on June 7 at The Regional Municipality of Durham Headquarters. Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department is pleased to congratulate its partner Habitat for Humanity Durham for receiving the Jessica Markland Partnership Award at this year’s Durham Environmental Advisory Committee (DEAC)’s prestigious Environmental Achievement Awards.
