Lane restrictions on Regional Highway 2 in Courtice

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Regional Highway 2 from Trulls Road to 300 metres east of Trulls Road in the Community of Courtice in the Municipality of Clarington.
When: November 2 to December 22. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Regional Highway 2 from Trulls Road to 300 metres east of Trulls Road in Courtice.
Why: Construction of a watermain, median and entrance to support new development.

Whitby, Ontario – On Sunday, October 25, the telephone, voicemail and call centre systems at Regional Headquarters (605 Rossland Road East, Whitby) will undergo software upgrades as scheduled maintenance is performed. As a result of this work, the telephone system will be affected.
When: The telephone, voicemail and call centre systems will not be operational on Sunday, October 25 from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m.

New hours at the Clarington Household Special Waste Depot

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of new hours at the Clarington Household Special Waste Depot located in Bowmanville in the Municipality of Clarington.
When: Effective October 20, the site will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Extended hours to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays only will start again in May and continue until the first Tuesday in October.
This facility is closed Sundays, Monday and holidays.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding residents to place their used or unwanted household batteries out for recycling on their collection day, during the week of November 2.
When: Fall battery collection occurs the week of November 2 on blue box collection days.
