Whitby, Ontario – From August 19 until September 30, Durham Region residents will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the 2021-2040 Long-term Waste Management Plan by visiting the virtual public engagement website at DurhamWasteOpenHouse.ca.

Residents invited to provide feedback on Regional Cycling Plan

Whitby, Ontario – Durham residents are invited to provide input on the Regional Cycling Plan (RCP) update and offer suggestions about how to improve cycling in the region. Residents can provide feedback through an online survey or by attending a local pop-up event.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) and a road closure on Regional Road 13 in the Township of Brock.
When: August 19 to 21 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

West Durham nearshore water quality monitoring

The Region of Durham has teamed up with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), as well as York Region, to monitor and look at what shapes Lake Ontario’s water quality in west Durham.
