Whitby, Ontario - The following represents beach-posting information for Durham Region beaches. Test results for the week of Aug. 19 indicate that two beaches have been posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the Provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that Brock Road (Regional Road 1) will be closed, at the rail crossing between Central Street (Regional Road 5) and Uxbridge Pickering Townline Road on Thursday.
When: Thursday, August 15. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
