Region of Durham recognizes Adult Day Program Awareness Week

Whitby, Ontario – In recognition of Adult Day Program (ADP) Awareness Week from October 15 to 19, the Region of Durham is reminding caregivers that it offers three ADPs through Hillsdale Estates and Lakeview Manor (Beaverton and Port Perry sites). These programs provide supervised therapeutic, social and recreational programming in a safe setting for adults living with cognitive impairments, including Alzheimer's disease and similar conditions.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of upcoming additional lane restrictions at the intersection of Rossland Road (Regional Road 28) and Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) at the Ajax/Whitby border.
When: October 17 and 18. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind municipal election candidates of the importance of following Regional By-Law No. 076-2017—which regulates temporary signs and banners on Regional roads—when considering placement of all election signs.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Regional Council has proclaimed October 10 as Imagine a Day Without Water. The campaign is part of a nationwide day of education and advocacy to recognize the true value of water. Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that Park Road South (Regional Road 54) will be closed between Bloor Street West (Regional Road 22) and Cromwell Avenue on October 13.
When: October 13 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
