Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Wentworth Street (Regional Road 60) in the City of Oshawa.
When: August 6 to October 25. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Wentworth Street, from 20 metres east of Park Road (Regional Road 54) to 25 metres west of Cedar Street in Oshawa.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Health Department has received notification that adult mosquitoes in Ajax and Pickering have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV). There have now been five mosquito batches in Durham Region that have tested positive for WNV this season including, three in Oshawa and one each in Ajax and Pickering.

Whitby, Ontario - The following represents beach-posting information for Durham Region beaches. Test results for the week of July 29 indicate that five public beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water.
