Help improve early learning and child care in Durham Region

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Children’s Services Division has launched its Early Learning and Child Care Survey to collect feedback from parents and caregivers on how to improve Ontario Early Years Centres and child care in Durham Region.
When: The survey will be available until April 3.
Where: Parents and caregivers of children 0 to 12 years old in Durham Region are invited to participate in the online survey at www.durham.ca/ELCC.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Finance Department would like to remind vendors of upcoming sessions related to the launch of an integrated, online eProcurement Tool—a product that will allow vendors to view, register and submit bids online in one quick, easy and convenient location.

Region of Durham offers new online system for social housing vacancies

Whitby, Ontario – As part of At Home in Durham, the Durham Housing Plan 2014-2024, a new online system is now available for applicants on the rent-geared-to-income (RGI) housing waiting list in Durham Region.
The Durham Access to Social Housing (DASH) Vacancies Site at www.durham.ca/DASH allows applicants to view and express interest in RGI vacancies, that they qualify for, with social housing providers and some private landlords throughout the region.

Update: Wilson Road South in Oshawa to remain closed due to watermain break

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that Wilson Road South will continue to be closed at the intersection of Bloor Street East, until next week.
When: Wilson Road South will be closed until approximately Wednesday, Feb. 22.
Where: Wilson Road South is closed at the intersection of Bloor Street East (around Highway 401).
Why: To repair a broken watermain and related damage to the road base and asphalt.

Whitby, Ontario – The Finance Department, Purchasing Section is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of an integrated, online eProcurement Tool—a product that will allow vendors to view, register and submit bids quickly and easily online in one convenient location.
