Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind residents that the Region does not sell or endorse water filters or treatment equipment. The Region has been contacted by concerned residents inquiring about phone calls from salespeople who want access to their home to test the water or inspect the water service. In the past, salespersons have gone door-to-door making similar claims.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding City of Oshawa and Town of Whitby residents of changes to the scheduled curbside blue box collection, in observance of the Labour Day weekend.
When: Monday, September 5 to Saturday, September 10.
Where: Oshawa and Whitby residents will temporarily have their blue box collection moved to the following day.

Area wide reduced speed limit on Regional Roads in Downtown Uxbridge

Whitby, Ontario – In support of the Durham Vision Zero initiative, The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents and motorists of an area wide reduced speed limit from the existing 50 km/h to 40 km/h, on Regional Roads in the downtown area of the Township of Uxbridge.
