Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Regional Road 17, in Newcastle, in the Municipality of Clarington.
When: Ongoing until the end of September. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Regional Road 17, from 50 metres north of CPR Grade Separation to Monroe Street West, in Newcastle, in the Municipality of Clarington.
Why: To safely install a sewer and watermain to support new development.

Transfer of Henry Street and Cochrane Street from the Region of Durham to the Town of Whitby
This notice is to inform you that effective July 1st Henry Street and Cochrane Street, between Dundas Street and Rossland Road, will be assumed by the Town of Whitby from the Region of Durham.

Transfer of Rossland Road from the Town of Whitby to the Region of Durham
This notice is to inform you that effective July 1st Rossland Road between Lake Ridge Road and Cochrane Street will be assumed by the Region of Durham, from the Town of Whitby.

Whitby, Ontario - The Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) and the Regional Municipality of Durham (Durham Region or the Region) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, that could see the CIB invest up to $68 million to support Durham Region Transit's (DRT) purchase of up to 100 battery electric buses by 2027.
