Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on Champlain Avenue (Regional Road 25) in the Town of Whitby.
When: July 29 to Aug. 9. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Eastbound and westbound on Champlain Avenue, from 430 metres east of Thickson Road South (Regional Road 26) to 630 metres east of Thickson Road South in Whitby.

Reuse Day: July 20 in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region’s Works Department is encouraging residents to drop off reusable items, free of charge, at the upcoming Reuse Day event. Items will be donated to Habitat for Humanity ReStores (Ajax, Oshawa and Uxbridge locations), Diabetes Canada and the Salvation Army Thrift Store.
When: July 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reuse Days continue monthly until October at rotating locations in Durham Region.

Watch your speed: radar feedback signs are coming to your community

Whitby, Ontario – In support of Durham Vision Zero, the Region of Durham has launched a speed radar feedback sign (RFB) program on Regional roads to improve driver awareness of speed limits and reduce aggressive driving.
